FLORENCE, Kentucky (WXIX) – An 80-year-old man from Northern Kentucky has died three days after being seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident, according to the Hamilton County coroner.
Elmer Smith, 80, of Florence, was pronounced dead Tuesday at the University of Cincinnati medical center, according to a coroner’s report.
According to the coroner’s office, the crash happened in Florence on Saturday.
Major Philip Ridgell of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said Smith’s vehicle rolled over him at 7100 block of Buffstone Drive.
Smith had parked his vehicle in his driveway and got out when it rolled over his legs first, Ridgell explained.
The vehicle then rolled over Smith’s torso, according to Ridgell.
