It is the first day of summer 2022 and outdoor enthusiasts head out to camp in the mountains and on the beach. Which car brands make the best vehicles for camping and outdoor adventures? There are many like Jeep, Ford and others that are good. Here’s why the 2022 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, Outback and Ascent make the brand the best camping vehicles for active individuals this summer.
Automakers design their SUVs to have the widest appeal for most buyers and are built to be efficient for commuting and city life. Subaru has always been different and has created a niche market for those looking to get away from civilization for the weekend.
The 2022 Subaru Outback and Forester Wilderness are good examples and have more features for those with an active lifestyle. As the first day of summer arrives, many active people of all ages want to get out and enjoy the great outdoors by exploring, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, fishing, camping, kayaking, and surfing.
A report from single tracks says mountain bikers are three times as likely as the average American owning a Subaru over another brand† They also report that drivers clearly enjoy their Subaru Outbacks, Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Cherokees and Subaru Foresters more than any other vehicle in America.
What distinguishes the Subaru brand?
The 2022 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, Outback and Ascent all have 8.7 inches of ground clearance, Outback Wilderness has 9.4 inches and Forester Wilderness 9.2 inches. All come standard with Subaru’s symmetrical four-wheel drive and X-Mode for added off-road capability.
All models also come with a standard roof rail for transporting a luggage carrier, bicycle rack or roof tent on top of the vehicle.
The 2022 Subaru Forester compact SUV, Outback mid-sized SUV, Crosstrek subcompact SUV, and Ascent 3-Row SUV are perfect four-wheel drive vehicles to get away from dullness this summer. With Subaru’s standard symmetrical four-wheel drive, a few accessories and the right equipment, you can get away from civilization and enjoy outdoor adventures this summer.
