Tata Tiago CNG
Starting with the list of Tata’s newest entrant earlier this year, the Tiago CNG. This is the only CNG vehicle on this list available in five trim levels: XE, XM, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ DT. Prices start from 6.29,000 with base XE trim and go all the way up to 7.81,900 with the top-spec XZ+DT trim. The CNG kit in the Tata Tiago works with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that delivers 72 hp and 95 Nm of torque. It will have a 35 liter fuel tank and a 60 liter CNG fuel tank. With CNG, the Tiago CNG has an ARAI-certified mileage of 26.49 km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is another popular badge name driving volume sales for the manufacturer. The CNG variant is available with two variants, LXi and LXi(O). The former has an ex-showroom price of 6.42,500 and the latter is priced at ₹6.86,000. It is powered by a 998 cc engine that produces 55 hp and 81 Nm of torque. Like the Tiago CNG, the WagonR CNG will also receive a 60-litre CNG tank and with that alone an ARAI-certified mileage of 34.05 km/l. On the other hand, it also gets a 32-litre fuel tank in which it has an ARAI-certified range of 24.35 km/litre.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
The CNG variant of the Celerio is only available with the VXi variant and costs 6,69,000. Like the WagonR, it is also powered by a 998 cc engine that produces 55 hp and 82 Nm of torque, and it gets a 60-litre CNG fuel tank and a 32-litre petrol tank. The Celerio has an ARAI-certified range of 35.6 km/kg on CNG and with the non-renewable fuel, the hatchback delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 25.24 km/l.
Hyundai santro CNG
Although the Santro badge is no longer in use, it was available with a factory fitted CNG kit. The CNG models were available in two trim levels – Magna and Sportz. The former had an ex-showroom price of 6,09,900 and the latter was priced at ₹6,38.00. It used to be powered by a 1.1-litre petrol engine with 59 hp and 85.3 Nm of torque. The Hyundai Santro had an ARAI-certified combined mileage (both gasoline and CNG combined) of 30.48 km.
