From Tata Tiago to Maruti Suzuki WagonR

CNG is quickly becoming the fuel of choice for consumers seeking four-wheelers in the mass-market segment. While Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have offered company-mounted CNG kits with their respective models, Tata Motors also joined the CNG train earlier this year with the launch of the Tata Tiago CNG. For example, consumers now have more than just a handful of choices on the market to buy vehicles that don’t burn a hole in their pocket every time they fill up. Below we have listed the details of all entry-level CNG hatchbacks, their cost and mileage.

Tata Tiago CNG

Starting with the list of Tata’s newest entrant earlier this year, the Tiago CNG. This is the only CNG vehicle on this list available in five trim levels: XE, XM, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ DT. Prices start from 6.29,000 with base XE trim and go all the way up to 7.81,900 with the top-spec XZ+DT trim. The CNG kit in the Tata Tiago works with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that delivers 72 hp and 95 Nm of torque. It will have a 35 liter fuel tank and a 60 liter CNG fuel tank. With CNG, the Tiago CNG has an ARAI-certified mileage of 26.49 km/kg.
