SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — Dozens of car enthusiasts showed off their rides at the Hamilton-South Caddo branch of the Shreve Memorial Library.

The organizers of Stop the Violence Shreveport Car Club organized the event with the aim of showing young people that they can choose a better life.

“We’re trying to get the kids more involved in the automotive world and get them off the streets as much as possible,” said James Loftin, president of the auto club.

Children were allowed to vote for the best car, truck and bicycle on the show.
