THERE are some incredible car collections around the world owned by sports stars, musicians and actors.
But did you know that one of the world’s best collections is right here in the UK? Just off the M25, near Potters Bar.
Okay, so it’s hardly Los Angeles, but you’ll struggle to find a bigger and more eclectic mix of cars owned by one person anywhere else.
The person who owns this huge collection is Rodger Dudding.
He is reportedly worth around £160 million and has a huge love for anything with a motor.
After inventing a ticketing system for queuing in stores earlier, Rodgers’ second and most important business became owning and renting out garages.
He started small with a few in Croydon and now owns some 14,000 units across Britain.
Rodger started collecting cars 50 years ago and now has about 450 cars and motorcycles under one roof.
They are currently insured for £40 million and can be hired for weddings and films through Rodger’s company Studio 434.
Look what these celebs are riding…
It all started with a 1952 Morris Minor and a 1968 Jenson Interceptor, but his collection now includes everything from his oldest, a 1911 Vulcan vintage car, to the latest – a 2017 Rolls-Royce Wraith.
In between there are Ferraris, Lamborghini, Bentleys, Alfa Romeos, Maseratis, Jaguars, Land Rovers, Range Rovers and many more.
There are so many cars and motorcycles that we would be here all day listing them.
But one worth mentioning is Rodger’s Aston Martin Lagonda. Well, he doesn’t have just one – he has 25.
This 1980s marmite wedge-shaped Aston is very rare and Rodger seems to be going for the full set.
And Rodger is also happy to store your car for you. In fact, he currently has another 300 cars in Studio 434 that belong to other people.
