New X-Line and X-Pro Models
Headlining the updates to the Kia Telluride 2023, the new X-Line and X-Pro models add off-road capability and style, as well as enhanced towing features, including sway control and an improved traction control system.
Based on the same basic set of adjustments, the main advantage of the X-Pro over the X-Line is an additional 500lbs towing capacity, bringing the total to 5,500lbs. The X-Pro also gets a 110-volt inverter output in the cargo area, exclusive 18-inch black wheels with Continental all-terrain tires, and X-Pro badges and embossments. Both models also get a special grille design, body-colored door handles, exclusive color packages and more. The X-Line comes with 20-inch wheels and trades the X-Pro’s off-road grip for style.
Larger 12.3-inch navigation screen
Road trip fans will appreciate the new 12.3-inch center navigation display, which has been improved over the previous 10.25-inch unit. The new system offers optional access to truly smart features including stolen vehicle tracking and immobilization from Kia Connect services, in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot via 4G LTE, wireless updates for maps and infotainment software, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. integration and more.
Enhanced Driver Assistance Technology
The Kia Telluride already offered a long list of active and advanced driver assistance technology, including Forward Collision Avoidance with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Highway Driving Assist and more. For 2023, there will be a long list of safety features in addition to the standard and optional equipment configurations.
New standard driver assistance technology includes Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, which uses speed limit recognition to warn the driver. Forward Collision-Avoidance – Junction Turning is now also standard for the Kia Telluride 2023, to detect vehicles crossing the road at an intersection and automatically brake if necessary.
New optional driver assistance features include navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve, which is an extension of the navigation-based cruise control system to reduce vehicle speed while waiting for turns; and Highway Driving Assist 2, which extends the Highway Driving Assist 1.5 system, which comes standard, with lane changes and adaptive tracking. A host of new Forward Collision features are now also available.
Updated Exterior Design
A new design for the standard LED headlights sets the Telluride 2023 apart from its predecessors, as do new bumpers, a new grille, updated taillights, new wheel designs and three new exterior colors: Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red and Jungle Wood Green.
