Mullen has released new details about the top-of-the-line Five RS.
Originally announced last November, the model is billed as an “ultra-high performance EV” with an 800-volt architecture, four-wheel drive and a claimed power output of more than 1,000 horsepower (746 kW / 1,014 PS). The company says this will enable the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of at least 322 km/h.
While that sounds promising, the company noted in its forward-looking statement that there are “risks and uncertainties,” including the “time of completion and availability of the Mullen Five RS and whether the Mullen Five RS will be able to reach a top speed.” of 200.” mph (322 km/h), 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration capabilities in 1.9 seconds or the other characteristics mentioned in this press release.” That suggests that those numbers should be taken with a grain of salt and that we will believe them when we see them.

That aside, Mullen has released a new teaser sketch and it shows that the crossover will have an aggressive front end, a carbon fiber splitter and vents above the front wheels. They are joined by carbon fiber fenders, bronze wheels and a prominent rear spoiler. The company has also said that the model will have carbon ceramic brakes.
David Michery, CEO of Mullen, said the crossover is “intended to be one of the fastest vehicles in the world, competing with some of the best and most well-known and appreciated car tents.” He added: “I am looking forward to presenting this vehicle at the track next spring.”
