DUBOIS, Wyo – The National Museum of Military Vehicles has won a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2022 for being in the top 10 percent of attractions worldwide. The award honors businesses that have received great traveler reviews from around the world on Tripadvisor in the past 12 months.
Guests consistently comment that the museum is spectacular and family-friendly, and the tribute to American veterans is humble. “This was an excellent experience. The museum is huge and beautifully designed. There is so much to see. I think this rivals many major museums around the country. Everyone loved it, from our 9-year-old daughter to my 75-year-old parents,” said a Tripadvisor reviewer.
The Museum of Military History, which opened in August 2020 southeast of Dubois, Wyo, celebrated its grand opening last May. Inside the 140,000-square-foot museum, visitors will find nearly 500 fully restored military vehicles, artillery pieces, naval ships, and aircraft dating from 1897 to the present day.

“We are pleased that our guests have shared their experiences on Tripadvisor, where the museum has been awarded five stars,” said museum founder Dan Starks. “We are committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families and active-duty military personnel. We tell their stories in three major galleries through immersive exhibitions currently focusing on World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.”
“Congratulations on the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2022 winners,” said Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer at Tripadvisor. “The Travelers’ Choice Awards recognize the best in tourism and hospitality, according to those who matter most: your guests. It’s always hard to be one of the Travelers’ Choice winners, but never more than this year as we come out of the pandemic. Whether it’s using new technology, implementing security measures or hiring excellent staff, I’m impressed with the steps you’ve taken to meet the new demands of travelers. You have adapted very well in the face of adversity.”
