You may need to be 17 to get your driver’s license in the UK, but we think the driving experience can start much earlier.

Riding cars means kids can learn the important driving exercises much sooner — even if their whip is only going 5 mph.

And if you’re on a healthy budget, your little ones can indeed tour around in a very luxurious motorbike.

From modern mini Teslas to small classic cars, these are some of the coolest out there.

Tesla Model S for kids

It’s electric, obvs (Photo: Radio Flyer)

The kid’s version of Tesla’s popular Model S may not cost as much as its adult counterpart, but this scaled-down electric version looks nearly identical to the real thing.

You can expect very cool features such as folding side mirrors, a ‘frunk’ for storage toys, in addition to an AUX input to play your favorite songs. With ‘front’ and ‘back’ buttons that make driving super easy, mini drivers can shift between 3-6 mph.

Perfect for kids who want to cruise through their large backyard, or parents who enjoy having their kids brag about their vehicle’s eco-friendly efficiency.

Available from £510 from Radio Flyer.

Bugatti Baby II

Small but beautifully shaped (Photo: Bugatti Baby)

Another one aimed at wealthy enthusiasts, the Bugatti Baby II is a contemporary tribute to Ettore Bugatti’s original masterpiece from 1926.

The French manufacturer has assembled just 500 of these vintage-inspired electric mini models that are three-quarters the size, and like the real-life supercar it emulates, there are plenty of customizations that will leave mini drivers salivating positively over this custom-built engine.

Best of all, every Baby II owner automatically becomes a member of The Little Car Club, allowing owners – whether children or adults – to drive their little cars on famous tracks around the world during special events.

Available from €27,300 at Bugatti Baby.

Bentley Ride on Car EXP12

The cheapest Bentley you’ll ever see (Picture: Included)

This battery-powered Bentley is actually based on the brand’s concept car, complete with the striking looks of its grown-up counterpart, but at a fraction of the price.

Little hands and feet can operate the steering wheel and foot pedal and feel like a top-class driver.

There is a working horn, headlights, door mirrors, gear lever and realistic looking alloy wheels. If the children are not big enough, parents can override the controls with a remote control to control the car.

A 90-minute battery and a unique speaker system that mimics realistic engine sound effects complete this scenic drive.

Available from £144.99 at Electric Ride On Cars.

Aston Martin DB5 Junior

Forget the kids, this mini Bond bike is for adults only (Photo: The Little Car Company)

This mini electric Aston Martin from the Little Car Company was designed using 3D scans of an original DB5 and is certainly not suitable for pliers.

It’s built two-thirds the size of the 007, complete with rear-wheel drive, an all-electric powertrain and several riding modes.

Licensed by the car manufacturers themselves, then tested and signed off by the
factories own test riders, this is a serious ride.

Owners of the original car can request matching chassis numbers and color/leather specifications; and like the original, only 1,059 of the models will be made.

Available from £35,000 from The Little Car Company.
