These are our favorite features of the Rimac Concept One

Rimac Concept One

A handful of relatively new car companies on the market specialize in electric sports cars. Although it is not a concept, Rimac is one of the most exciting options among these more environmentally friendly fast cars. One of the company’s most highly regarded rides is the Rimac Concept One.

This pioneering vehicle from Rimac was unveiled in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Despite the name of the car, the Concept One went into production in 2013 and made its official debut in 2016. This model from Rimac is a limited production vehicle and only eight units were produced. However, the automaker later made a few units of the Concept S, essentially an updated version of the One.

The Concept One is a car with an excellent reputation in the hypercar world. It was considered one of the fastest cars in the world before it was even a production car. It is one of the most important examples of ultra-fast hypercars powered by electric motors. There is a lot to like about this car, as Rimac had many excellent features and made sure the Concept One was as light as possible. However, it is still heavier than many of its competitors.

The Rimac Concept One: The World’s First All-Electric Hypercar Is A Beast

The Rimac Concept One is in many ways a reminder of what hypercars can achieve when designed correctly. Four independent engines power the Concept One. The combined maximum horsepower for all four engines is 1,224 horsepower, with torque of 1,080 lb-ft., according to Rimac. The Rimac Concept One is a four wheel drive car and the transmission used on this villain is a 2 speed dual clutch. The lack of a traditional transmission allows for a much faster time from 0 to 60 miles per hour. This is a powerful little car, which makes it relatively easy to understand why there is so much excitement around the Rimac nameplate.

What makes the world’s first all-electric hypercar a beast is its speed. The Rimac Concept One accelerates from 0 to 100 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds. Not only is this incredibly fast, but it takes many of the most popular sports cars on a large scale twice as long to reach 62 miles per hour. This is not to compare a hypercar to a regular sports car, but to provide perspective. The top speed of this car is 221 miles per hour.

Torque Vectoring is one of the best features of the Rimac Concept One

The Rimac Concept One wouldn’t be one of the best hypercars of recent times if it didn’t have some pretty impressive features. One of the best features of this car is the all-wheel drive Torque Vectoring system. According to rimac, this system allows the driver to tailor the driving behavior to his specific needs. The way it works is that the system regulates the torque on each of the four motors 100 times per second. This system works in conjunction with sensors located around the vehicle. The process for the driver is relatively simple and pretty much just involves choosing a driving mode. For example, one mode is ‘oversteer’, which helps the driver steer through steep turns or corners. Another example is ‘understeer’. which offers a much more normal driving experience suitable for all types of drivers.

Another of the best features of this car is its widespread use of technology. One of the things that makes this so special is that Ramac’s designers had to make most of it themselves, as Croatia, where the company is based, is not known for its advanced technology. The result is a touchscreen infotainment system that looks more high-tech than a vehicle should have. The interior also has an elegant and simple look that takes this car to the next level of style.

Another striking feature of the Rimac Concept One is the fast charging. According to the automaker, you could be back on the road in less than an hour. Although these vehicles are not often used for long journeys, fast charging can always come in handy for someone with a fully electric car.

Rimac is an emerging company

The Rimac Concept One is a special car. It is one of the recent examples that has helped lay the foundation for all electric hypercars. The vehicle may have only been produced for eight customers, but it’s still a great addition to the market. Not only that, but it must also be super cool to proudly say that you own one of eight units of a vehicle. The automaker has put a lot of development into this car, and it looks like some of that has been carried over to the Rimac Nevera.

As a company, Rimac seems to be one of the next options in line for the same legendary status as some of its more seasoned competitors. This future status is signaled by the fact that Rimac and Bugatti have merged into Bugatti Rimac. No one knows what this partnership will bring, but it will benefit both parties. Rimac has the modern and advanced technology to exist in the new world, while Bugatti as a company may have more resources and connections. Therefore, a merger between these two different but similar automakers is probably just what it takes to move the hypercar industry forward.
