A new report from Edmunds says one of the top 10 trending models that catch your eye now includes three Subaru SUVs; the 2022 Subaru Outback midsize SUV, the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact, and the 2022 Subaru Forester compact in that order.

A recent report from Kelley Blue Book (KBB) says that the most researched models are now compact SUVs and cars because of the unprecedented rise in gas prices. Even though gas prices have fallen from their highest levels this spring, car buyers still want fuel-efficient vehicles, and small SUVs are a good choice because of their practicality.

The ten most researched new vehicles from Edmunds in their ranking are the 2021 Honda CR-V, 2022 Toyota RAV4, 2022 Mazda CX-5, 2021 Honda Passport, 2022 Subaru Outback, 2021 Honda Pilot, 2022 Subaru Crosstrek, 2022 Subaru Forester, Mazda CX-30 and 2022 Honda Civic.

Compact and mid-sized SUVs are the most researched segment among new car buyers this fall. Those who shop for gas powered vehicles are still think more about fuel economy.

The 2022 Subaru Outback and Crosstrek are likely to be sold out now, so we’ll update the information with the 2023 Outback and 2023 Crosstrek model years.
