Top cars will arrive in India and abroad at the end of September

September has been pretty action-packed so far with launches like the Tata Jet Edition SUVs, Kia Sonet X line, Hyundai Venue N Linerated Citroen C5 Aircross and more. Well, the month isn’t over yet and while the holidays are still a while away, there are still some more important models arriving before the end of September.

Volvo XC90 Charging: September 21

The Swedish automaker’s flagship SUV is no stranger to plug-in hybrid powertrains in India, but the updated system will offer even better electric range and more power than the standard mild-hybrid version. The last Volvo XC90 Recharge is launched with a leather-free interior, a seven-seat layout in addition to top specifications.

Tata Tiago EV: September 28

Tata .’s entry level Tiago gets an EV powertrain coming soon and we’ll get our first look at the electric hatchback on the 28th of this month. Interestingly, the Tiago EV gets cruise control and a single-pedal drive function that aren’t even offered on the bigger Tigor EV.

Mercedes EQS 580 4Matic: September 30

Earlier in August, the Mercedes EQS made its debut in India, starting with the fully imported AMG variant. The automaker is gearing up to launch a less expensive variant of the electric luxury sedan in the form of the EQS 580 4Matic being rolled out of the Chakan factory from September 30. The AWD EV is only slightly less powerful than the AMG variant and will be flagged by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Maruti Grand Vitara

We also expect Maruti announces the prices of its flagship SUV, at least for selected variants. The Grand Vitara will be the first Maruti to get a strong hybrid option in India, in addition to an AllGrip all-wheel drive option that will be exclusive to the mild-hybrid manual transmission version. In addition, it is equipped with several premium features, such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera and six airbags.
