Upcoming electric cars in India this month:
Mercedes-Benz EQS 580: Mercedes-Benz India recently announced the launch of the new EQS AMG, and now the company will introduce the new 580 variant of the flagship EV, which is likely to hit the market in the second half of September. The car will be assembled locally in India at the company’s factory in Chakan, Pune. This model will then be followed by the EQB to be announced later this year. The upcoming EQS 580 has a 107.8 kWh battery pack and is powered by two electric motors that deliver a combined output of 523 hp and 856 Nm of torque. According to official claims, the car can return a full charge range of 770 km on a single charge.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: After presenting the car earlier in August, the Japanese auto giant will announce the launch of the all-hybrid Urban Cruiser Hyryder electric SUV in the country later in September. This will be the first HEV model in the segment to compete with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It will be released as a jointly developed offering from the Toyota-Suzuki partnership. The company aims to attract buyers with a fuel consumption of 27.97 km/l, which is also the best in its segment.

Marutic Suzuki Great Vitara: The new Grand Vitara SUV will be released as the Suzuki-branded Hyryder hybrid SUV. It will share the same basic design with styling tweaks, the same hybrid powertrain options and similar features. However, it can be pitted as a relatively more affordable option against its tech twin. The official launch date has not yet been announced, but it is expected to go on sale in the latter part of this month. The car has already started arriving at the company dealers and the pre-launch bookings are already underway.

That said, other electric cars confirmed to arrive in India include Hyundai IONIQ5 EV and Ford Mustang Mach-E.
