Perhaps the most striking aspect of this nearly 1,000-strong collection of cars was the variety of what was on display. A McLaren F1 GTR Longtail in Gulf livery (chassis #28R to be exact) was of course a highlight, but a few meters away you could also find a decommissioned London Taxi, a Lotus Carlton and a beautiful selection of Nobles.
There were also plenty of reminders of the British motoring heritage, from the early days of Bentley to Ecurie Ecosse legends and much in between, each car with many stories to tell. Historic cars that have stood the test of time and remain incredibly popular with spectators of all ages.
Of course, it’s hard to wax lyrical about British motoring without mentioning McLaren’s modern power. As well as the F1 GTR we were treated to a McLaren Senna, a P1 and many more from what is a growing stable of excellent sports cars.
Out of all these fantastic cars, we’ve tried to narrow down to just six of the very best cars on show at Rule Britannia Sunday, cast your vote and let us know your favourite.
