While these two muscle car rivals are extremely close in performance, the Dodge takes the clear win on the drag strip.

Some cars will always be rivals. Ferrari and McLaren. Toyota Supra and Nissan Z. These cars are similar in so many ways, so it makes sense to compare them.

The same goes for the Ford Mustang GT and the Dodge Challenger SRT 392 Scat Pack. These two American muscle cars have many similarities. They are both rear-wheel drive cars with V8 engines that produce 400 horsepower. Each car has a starting MSRP in the low $40k range.

It is very likely that potential buyers often cross-shop these two cars. So it makes sense to pit them against each other on a drag strip and see who comes out as the winner.
