Woman dramatically rescued from sinkhole before car was swallowed

A Texas woman is lucky to be alive after a dramatic video shows her being rescued from her car as a sinkhole opens in the middle of the road.

The woman — who was not identified by police — was driving her white sedan past Yandell and Gateway South in El Paso around 6:40 p.m. when a massive sinkhole opened under her car due to heavy rain in the area, Jam Press reported.

Several Good Samaritans and firefighters from El Paso rushed into action and managed to get the woman out of the car before it fell into the well.

No one was seriously injured during the extraction, but three firefighters and the woman were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
