Brock Lesnar/WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan

Welcome to a new edition of the daily WWE News Roundup, where we aim to bring the biggest news stories and updates from the world of sports entertainment. In today’s edition, we’ll be looking at some interesting news updates that revolve around top names like Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, and Hulk Hogan.

Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan faced each other during King of the Ring 2002. Angle won the match. But what happened before the match was much more interesting. We kick off today’s recap with a look at the backstage interaction between the two legends.

WWE legend Kurt Angle recently spoke about the absurd backstage interaction he had with Hogan prior to their match.

Angle would win the 2002 KOTR tournament with Hogan taking over. Vince McMahon wanted Angle to intimidate The Hulkster before their match so he wouldn’t mind jogging.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist explained how it went:

“What he’s trying to do is intimidate Hulk, and you can’t intimidate Hulk Hogan, he’s a fucking bad*ss… But the crazy thing is, Vince wanted me to get out of my chair and really close to his face like I was threatened him – it was ridiculous,” Angle said.

Angle revealed that during their meeting, he got up from his seat to “threaten” Hogan. These scare tactics were unnecessary, however, as the former WWE champion immediately agreed to clean Angle.

#2. Dana Brooke was in a serious car accident

A lot to the #wweuniverse for the support & love, stand up for me! The reason I wasn’t on RAW last night was because I had a bad car accident last week, I’m fine and I’ll be right back! I really appreciate the love and couldn’t ask for better support from fans

Lots of ️ to the #wweuniverse for the support & love, stand up for me! The reason I wasn’t on RAW last night was because I had a bad car accident last week, I’m fine and I’ll be right back! I really appreciate the love and couldn’t ask for better support from fans ❤️

Current 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke recently had a serious car accident, which is why she was absent from RAW this week. Brooke took to social media yesterday and revealed the situation. She also assured her fans that she is doing better now and will be back soon:

Love to the #wweuniverse for the support & love that stands up for me! The reason I wasn’t at RAW last night was because I had a serious car accident last week, I’m fine and I’ll be right back!” Brooke tweeted.

Dana Brooke has become a mainstay in the 24/7 title division, winning the championship six times. She even took a big win against Becky Lynch on the June 6 episode of RAW thanks to an assist from Asuka.

#1. Update on Brock Lesnar’s WWE Future

The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar returned to WWE on SmackDown last week. He confronted his old nemesis Roman Reigns after defeating Riddle.

The two men will face each other again at SummerSlam in a Last Man Standing match. Lesnar is advertised for multiple RAW and SmackDown shoots prior to his clash with Reigns. SportsKeeda’s Matt Black stated:

“Lesnar has been advertised for two upcoming episodes of WWE SmackDown on July 22 and 29 in Boston and Atlanta, respectively. In addition to the SmackDown dates, Lesnar has also been promoted for an upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW on July 11 in San Antonio.”

It is rumored that Lesnar has been brought back to argue with Reigns over Randy Orton’s back injury. Will The Beast Incarnate finally get its reward, now that Reigns has racked up two wins over Lesnar since his return in 2021?
